In-person meetings are in the Graduate Business Programs Office Suite KMC 410 (School of Business Karl Miller Center.)
I’m here to help you navigate your career options, job or internship search strategy, mock interviews and how to best execute your career plan.
STANDARD ADVISING APPOINTMENTS: Appointment blocks are ONE HOUR, however the actual advising appointment will only be 45 minutes with the final 15 minutes blocked for my note-taking and subsequent appointment preparation.
NEW STUDENTS: Before booking a one-on-one advising appointment with me, please check the Career Management Calendar of events to make sure there’s not a related workshop I’m hosting that might address your needs. Typically, I only see students one-on-one AFTER they have attended one or more workshops (FIND CALENDAR HERE: https://sites.google.com/pdx.edu/b-school-connect-pdx/home/careers/career-advising-resources).
If your schedule does not allow attendance of the workshops, feel free to contact me by email BEFORE booking an appointment: email@example.com
Step 1) Create or revise a resume making sure that it aligns with our recommended best practices. Make sure to review the basic recommendations found in our “Resume Checklist” & “Resume Guide” below BEFORE booking an appointment to speak with me about your resume.
If you cannot access this link (hint: you need to be signed-in to your @pdx.edu email account) please email me at: firstname.lastname@example.org
Step 2) Please email your resume to me at least 48 hours before your scheduled appointment: email@example.com (if you fail to send it in advance, I will ask you to reschedule your appointment to allow time for me to review your materials BEFORE your advising appointment)
Step 3) Please send me copies of ANYTHING you plan on discussing in our advising appointment, for example JOB DESCRIPTIONS and COVER LETTERS.
I look forward to helping you create a career you love!
